About Me

My name is Nathan Daubenmier. I am the fourth child in a family of nine (seven children). I spent the first 12 years of my life living in a typical modest home in America but even before I turned seven years old the edges of my horizon were being broadened as we adopted three children from Ethiopia into our home. With them came a little taste of Africa that proved to be irresistible to my parents and at the age of 12 my family moved to Kenya where we are still living. We are living at a boarding school for the children of missionaries throughout Africa and one of the biggest benefits I have gained from living here is the access to so many cultures. I have had the immense opportunity to interact with people of all sorts of nations and races and this has profoundly impacted my world view and how I interpret everything around me. I am proud to be a Christian and third culture kid living in Kenya and I would not give up the experiences I have had in the past several years here for anything else in this world.
